Aisling Bea

Aisling is a well-known Irish comedian who has been around for quite a while. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea, is a popular Irish actor, writer and comedian. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea started her professional career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. After 2012 she had been performing in sketch comedy shows as well as sitcoms and similar programming. Following her prize from Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011, Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2011 and then was a frequent guest on a variety of panel show where she is currently a regular. Between 2016 and 2017 she was part of the 8 Out of 10 Cats team as well as a participant on the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was born to Brian O'Sullivan, the actress is the mother of one sister called Sinead. She became only the second female to be a winner of the show So You Think You're Funny in the year 2012. Bea was given to her in memory of her father. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet, who committed suicide when Bea reached the age of three, was a victim of self-harm. Bea was informed of his passing at the age of thirteen. Bea chose to stage her name Bea in honor of her father who passed away. Bea also wrote an article for The Guardian on her family's death experience. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a professional jockey for a time. Their family was horse and race meeting obsessed. Bea was a child a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From a very young age, Bea knew that she didn't want racing as a career. Instead she loved the performing arts.
